I eat here around four times a year. It's my go to place for Pepper Steak. It has always been great. I did notice that the amount of meat has been less than it used to be. I just order the large size to be prevent any issues with that. The prices are generally what one would expect compared to other Caribbean establishments in Hartford. less
I typically go here only for breakfast. I ordered the salt fish and cabbage with dumpling. They give you large orders so it's cool if you order smaller sizes. Their breakfast is to die for! Nice and fresh with big chunks of salt fish! Usually a line so get there early if you have work to follow. less
First time trying Jamaican food and I thought it was delicious. I tried the take out curry goat (they ran out of oxtail at that point) and curry chicken over rice. They are both served with a side of cabbage/vegetables. Portion sizes are large and very reasonably priced. It may not look that great to some, but the flavor is awesome. Both meats very tender and well seasoned. I can't comment on the service as I wasn't the one who did the ordering/picking up the food, but I would definitely eat this again. less
The food is nice , fresh quality taste . It's spicy , I'm allergic to spicy food , burns my tongue painfully , but I keep buying Jahmske's curry chicken rice and peas anyway, like a bear invading a bee hive for honey. So I guess their food is good, legit . Discovered an awesome reggae song playing through their speakers , asked Siri what song is playing and she said the artist is " Chronixx and song is called Likes ." So you can also discover some dope music while waiting in line . Caution : Some of their music will make you dance while you wait . less
